Myles Tyrrell (BA Hons, ARSM)
Pianist, Organist & Music Educator

Myles Tyrrell is a classically trained pianist and organist with a passion for inclusive, inspiring music education. Originally from Hampshire, Myles brings over a decade of experience as a performer, accompanist, and teacher. He studied Music and French at the University of Southampton, including time in Rennes as part of the Erasmus Programme. At the age of 21, Myles became the Director of Music at St. James (West End), running a 30-strong choir, and also conducted The Woodside Singers. He was a peripatetic instructor for Southampton City Council, and when Myles wasn't teaching or conducting, he was performing at venues up and down the country, including the Royal Albert Hall, Turner Sims and SS Great Britain.

Alongside collaborations with the Welsh National Opera’s Youth and Outreach programme, Myles runs a thriving private tuition studio with students of all ages and abilities across the UK, Europe, and the US. He specialises in working with neurodivergent learners and those managing performance anxiety, creating a welcoming, confidence-building environment, whilst also coaching professional musicians in taking their playing further. In addition to his teaching, in January 2025 Myles became the organist at Ullet Road Unitarian Church, captivated by the loving and welcoming community, and their amazing support for music!
