Lunch at the Athenaeum

Lunch at the Athenaeum.

29 Jul 2022

In the heart of Liverpool is the beautiful and historical Athenaeum.
One of the founders of the Athenaeum was the Unitarian William Roscoe, who attended Benns Garden Chapel and Later the Renshaw Street Chapel. They were treated to some lovely food and had a tour around the library, the committee room that houses William Roscoes Book Case, and Books! And also the books of the Spanish Unitarian Minister Joseph Blanco White. Roscoe and Blanco Whites Memorials can be seen in Ullet Road Church cloisters. In attendance were Ruth, Ian, Viki, Lucy, Hilary, Izzie, Christian, Caroline, and the Rev. Phil Waldron. This will be an annual outing for the church council and the employees of the church.
