Incurably Wonderful

Incurably Wonderful has been very busy this summer. Requests for our services have trebled and we have decided to answer these by adding many more activities. This time, we are partnering with Nuffield Health. This incredible national organisation has not only invited Incurably Wonderful to use its premises every Friday afternoon from October but has given an invitation to same-day use of their state-of-the-art pool for IW members attending these events.

We have also been working alongside amazing organisations such as: Healthiness Ltd, the ME Association and Fibromyalgia Action.

This September we introduce two main changes to our timetable: On the first Tuesday of every month, we will be presenting the Health and Wellness Club – A series of educational and social activities on diverse themes that are intended to help patients improve their wellbeing in a myriad of ways. This month we kickstart with the theme “Activities” – Coping and Living well. A theme that will be presented by the charity Versus Arthritis. On the fourth Tuesday of every month, we are now presenting sessions for patients of both Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. We have been eager to amalgamate these sessions, as many attendees said this is what they wanted.

Following the great success of the Superb Book Club at the beautiful Unitarian Church we will be introducing the Mysteriously Thrilling Book Club at Nuffield Health, from October. In addition, IW members will have fun taking part in Incurably Playful; a dynamic, sociable interactive session for all kinds of card and board games. Finally, we are also hosting a new informal and free-flowing social get together called Coffee and Chatter. All these events are to take place on Fridays from October at Nuffield Health, 1 Riverside Drive, L3 4EN.
