Baptism for Otis

Baptism of Otis

14 Nov 2024

There’s no hiding that Ullet Road Church hosts many weddings, though baptisms are fewer. However, when a baptism takes place here, it’s a joyful gathering of family and friends. At Otis's baptism, on Saturday 9th November 2024, his family requested the organist to play music from The Little Mermaid, and a friend read a beautiful poem by Sylvia Plath. Little did the family know she was a Unitarian, and they were delighted to learn this during the service.

Afterwards, during the photos, Rev. Phil posed with Otis and his parents by the beautiful font. Otis thought it was his turn to get Rev. Phil wet and started splashing him! It seems Rev. Phil needed a shower!
