Baptism for Anna and Bella - Twins

Anna and Bella Baptism P Arty 3

7 Mar 2025

On Saturday, 1st March, we gathered at Ullet Road Church for a truly special occasion... the baptism of Anna and Bella Malone, led by Rev. Phil Waldron.

This moment of blessing was especially poignant as it marked another chapter in a remarkable journey. Ten years ago, Brad and Marco stood in this very church and made history, becoming the first same-sex couple to be married in a Liverpool church. Their love has since deepened and expanded, forming the beautiful family we came together to celebrate.

Their twin daughters, Anna and Bella, are a testament to love, resilience, and the strength of community. But their journey has not been without challenges.

At just three weeks old, Bella faced a life-threatening battle, diagnosed with an aggressive form of meningitis that doctors feared she would not survive. In the weeks and months that followed, prayers, hope, and the unwavering support of loved ones carried the family through. Against all odds, Bella not only survived but continues to shine, a bright and determined spirit who inspires all who meet her. Her journey has included lengthy hospital stays, multiple surgeries, and the daily challenges of cerebral palsy, but through it all, she has shown extraordinary courage and an unbreakable will.

Saturday’s service was not just a baptism, it was a celebration of love, resilience, and the power of a supportive community. It was a reminder that every child is a gift, and that in love, we find the strength to face even the hardest of trials.

We are honoured to have been part of this beautiful occasion and wish Anna, Bella, Brad, and Marco a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless blessings.
