Ullet Road Church Hall Hosts a Heart-warming Celebration for Asylum Link Merseyside

On the evening of Friday, 28th April 2023, Ullet Road Church Hall opened its doors to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Asylum Link Merseyside, a phenomenal organization dedicated to supporting refugees and those seeking asylum in the UK. As long-standing partners, Ullet Road Church has proudly collaborated with the charity since 2017, when they joined forces to establish a football team.

Asylum Link Merseyside not only offers friendship, help, and advice, but also actively encourages the participation of asylum seekers and refugees in its services. Their warm and welcoming centre boasts an array of services provided on a drop-in basis, with appointments available for specialized activities.

To make everyone feel at home, the centre serves tea, coffee, and biscuits in the kitchen area during opening hours, as well as a hearty lunch on most days for all visitors.

The 20th-anniversary celebration at Ullet Road Church Hall was a testament to the spirit of unity, friendship, and love that Asylum Link Merseyside fosters. The event was abuzz with an electrifying blend of music and song, featuring both professional performers and talented first timers. One standout moment was an Iranian singer's hauntingly beautiful performance, accompanied by two African drummers and an English pianist, which left an indelible impression on everyone present.

With the hall overflowing with support, the evening was a resounding success, raising approximately £1500 for the charity! If you'd like to learn more about Asylum Link Merseyside or get in touch with them, their contact details are below:
