Alexander and Emily

This year, Ullet Road Church, much like other venues nationwide, has seen a quieter period for weddings due to the challenging financial climate we find ourselves in. However, this did not stand as an impediment for Alexander and Emily, whose joyous wedding ceremony unfolded at our beloved Church, demonstrating that love always finds its way.

The sacred halls of the Ullet Road Church echoed with the laughter and cheer of their family and friends, as unique readings and heartfelt songs reverberated, enhancing the warmth of the occasion. As is the trend in contemporary times, a special tradition known as the "last kiss, first kiss" was incorporated into the ceremony, adding an emotional depth to the proceedings.

Alexander and Emily Leaving Ullet Road Church

The "last kiss, first kiss" is a potent ritual where the mothers of the couple grace the chancel before their children are officially declared as partners for life. The mothers bestow upon their sons or daughters the final kiss of their singlehood, symbolically ushering them into their marital journey before the couple shares their inaugural kiss as newlyweds.

The potent symbolism of this tradition tugs at the heartstrings, often moving even the toughest hearts to tears. It paints a vivid picture of the passage of life, marking the transformation from one phase to another, and the enduring bond of familial love intertwined with the blossoming romance of the couple.

We extend our heartfelt blessings to Alexander and Emily as they embark on this beautiful journey of togetherness. As they walk hand in hand, navigating life's path, we hope their bond strengthens and their love deepens with each passing day.

May their life be filled with joy, laughter, and endless love. Congratulations, Alexander and Emily, from all of us at Ullet Road Church.
