*JOHNNY HUNTER QUARTET*

Headlining the evening, The Johnny Hunter Quartet continue to explore the interplay between composition and improvisation; from the freer and more textural sounds to the hard-swinging grooves that the quartet has become renowned for. Drawing inspiration from composers such as Don Cherry, Roscoe Mitchell, Albert Ayler, Anthony Braxton and Joe Harriott.

Their third album "A Consequence in Three Parts” features spoken word from poet Laura Cole who will be performing with the quartet in their upcoming UK shows.
